Fort Worth Harvest Church

Pastor Barney Ramirez is Senior Pastor and Founder of Fort Worth Harvest Church. Pastor Ramirez was born and raised in Fort Worth and graduated from Texas Christian University (TCU) with a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Latin American Studies. He subsequently earned a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages with a concentration in evangelism from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, one of the top seminaries in the world for ministry training and academic excellence.

 

Pastor Ramirez founded FWHC focusing on those who were unsaved and unchurched. Today, FWHC is a growing, vibrant, and enthusiastic congregation of all ages and varied races. The focus of FWHC is to return to the simplicity of the New Testament Gospel and reproduce rapidly reproducing disciples by sharing our faith on a daily basis with those with whom we come into contact.

 

In 2003 and 2004 Pastor Ramirez won the Business Man Of The Year for the state of Texas and was asked to go to Washington, D.C. to receive his honor in a ceremony with the majority leader of the House of Representatives. Pastor Ramirez is also involved with the community. He is a member of the Clergy and Police Alliance for Fort Worth and sits on several advisory teams and boards for various civic, business, and religious organizations. In addition, Pastor Ramirez is an accomplished musician.

 

Known for his passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Pastor Ramirez will challenge you in your belief of what the church and a New Testament disciple should look like. Pastor's hearts' desire is for the church to return to being a community of transformed people who are living out the Gospel and impacting the world around them.

 

Pastor Ramirez is currently pursuing his Doctorate's degree at the Billy Graham School of Missions and Evangelism at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

 

When Pastor is not busy ministering you will usually catch him reading a book about politics or theology either at a bookstore, coffee shop, or park. He also enjoys writing, playing music or catching a concert at Bass Hall, ping pong,  spending time with family, travelling, and watching "The Office."

Pastor Andrew serves as the Children's Minister at FWHC. Pastor Andrew is originally from Millington, Tenessee. He is the youngest of nine children, the uncle of 20+ nieces and nephews, and is a brilliant scholar. Since joining the staff at FWHC, the children's ministry has more than doubled in its'Sunday morning attendance. Pastor Andrew has a heart for children as well as making sure that from a young age they are instilled with the precious Bible stories, lessons, and principles that will make them strong disciples of Jesus. He currrently is pursuing a master's degree in archaeology and biblical studies at the world famous Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) in Fort Worth. Pastor Andrew has taught English, Greek, and Latin both at high school and college level and is currently a Latin instructor at SWBTS putting him as one of the youngest instructors on staff.  When he is not ministering, studying, teaching, greading exams one will find Pastor Andrew either parsing the Greek New Testamaent, reading a book in Latin, or enjoying SNL.
